The conclusion of the sixth & final match in Group H marks the end of Selangor FC's campaign in the ACL 2024/25. Despite a valiant effort, they fell short, finishing just one point behind second-placed Muangthong United FC.

In the ACL 2024/25, only the top two teams from each group advance to the next round. Although Selangor FC did not qualify, the first year in the competition ended on a strong note. The Red Giants finished third in Group H with 10 points, securing three wins, one draw and two losses.

Selangor FC managed to emerge victorious in the last match of the ACLTwo 2024/25 competition with a 4-0 result over Dynamic Herb Cebu F.C. at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila, Philippines.

The first half yesterday ended with Selangor FC leading the match with a goal by Yohandry Orozco in the 44th minute after successfully heading in Alvin Fortes' cross from the left flank. Three minutes into the second half, Yohandry Orozco scored his second goal after receiving a pass from Nooa Laine in the 48th minute. The Red Giants continued to show their mettle after Nooa Laine volleyed the ball in the 57th minute. The last goal of the match was scored by Alvin Fortes in the 79th minute. The Red and Yellow squad continued to make attempts after attempts until the final whistle blew. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) chose Yohandry Orozco as Man of The Match for his contribution of two goals and one assist in this #DHCSFC match.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Katsuhito Kinoshi, he is proud of the players' achievements and wants the players to continue to show their best performances in other matches even though they did not qualify for the next round of the ACLTwo 2024/25.

"I am satisfied and very proud of the players because they worked hard to get the victory in yesterday's match. The team's main mission is to just focus on ourselves and as a result, we scored four goals. The team needs to continue to perform like today's match in the upcoming league and cup matches," Kinoshi was proud.

“Unfortunately, the team did not qualify for the next round because Muangthong United FC won against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC. However, I told the players to always be highly motivated to perform in the next match no matter what the situation is,” he said.

Among the statistics recorded, Selangor FC scored nine goals from six matches in the ACLTwo 2024/25 competition; three from Yohandry Orozco; Ronnie Fernandez, Harith Haiqal, Ali Olwan, Quentin Cheng, Nooa Laine and Alvin Fortes have each contributed one goal. In addition, Ronnie Fernandez (Away vs MTU), Ali Olwan (Home vs JBH) and Yohandry Orozco (Home & Away vs DHC) were named Man of The Match by the AFC.
